**ROLE OVERVIEW**

The Global Insights Executive is a key member of the ghd Global Marketing team and is responsible for supporting and empowering the business with insights to aid in the development of the latest innovation and strategic launches.

The Global Insights Executive reports directly into the Global Senior Insights Manager and will be expected to support in the design, development and delivery of ghd’s global insights activity.

**JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Aid in the design and implementation of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and research.
- Support the Global Senior Insights Manager in managing third party agencies, processing invoices and ensuring projects are kept within budget.
- Build and maintain an internal insights repository to maximise our existing consumer data and insight and grow its visibility and use across the business.
- Own and manage our self-service research platform to continually track consumer sentiment on key projects; scripting, fielding and analysing ad-hoc research.
- Be integral in creating and delivering regular presentations to the management team and markets (inc. CEO, CMO, Managing Directors), to make strategic recommendations rooted in strong insight.
- Support the Global Marketing Teams and Local Marketing Teams with ad-hoc research needs and queries.

**Innovation Insights**:

- Work in partnership with the Senior Insights Manager, NPD Product Managers and Innovation Director to understand the consumer needs of the innovation pipeline.
- Assist in organising and executing claims testing to ensure our new innovations launch to market with commercially relevant and compelling consumer claims.
- Support in the development of strong product concepts that are consumer-centric and market-relevant through organising early-stage testing with consumers.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and Innovation teams in our Cambridge R&D facility to embed the consumer early-on in the new product development process.

**Brand Insights**:

- Collaborate with the Global Senior Insights Manager, Brand Managers and Global Head of Brand** **to equip them with strong understanding of ghd customers to inform go-to-market plans**.**:

- Support in the design and implementation of comms tests to ensure marketing messages cut through and resonate with current and prospective customers.

**Market Insights**:

- Develop a thorough understanding of the wider beauty market and tech beauty market to become a go-to person for competitive insights.
- Be a champion for market and competitor data internally, responding to ad-hoc requests for GFK, NPD data, etc.

**Types of research covered by this role**:

- Product tests
- Brand health tracking
- U&A studies
- Concept tests
- Comms tests
- Market data reporting

**KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES**
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative market research.
- Confidence analysing large data sets and presenting findings in a clear and informative way.
- Strong organisational skills, to manage priorities and numerous projects at once.
- High level of rigor and keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think beyond the obvious.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Proactive with a positive attitude and flexible approach to working.
- Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
- A curious, strategic thinker who is keen to challenge the status quo and turn data into actionable insights and compelling stories.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in an insights/research role (FMCG, beauty, haircare, fashion and/or electronics a plus) or a strong academic research background.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Educated to degree level.
- Strong maths or statistic educational results.
