Sen Nanny

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Nanny to provide personalized care and support for a child with Autism and non-verbal learning disability (NVLD). **Responsibilities**:

- Provide personalized care and support tailored to the unique needs of a child with Autism and NVLD.
- Assist with personal care routines including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, educators, and therapists.
- Support communication development using alternative communication methods such as AAC, PECS.
- Create a sensory-friendly environment and implement strategies to regulate sensory input.
- Assist with academic tasks and provide additional support in areas of difficulty due to NVLD.
- Employ positive behavior support strategies to address challenging behaviors.
- Establish consistent routines and schedules for bathroom breaks and potty training.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, therapists, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
- Maintain open communication with parents and provide regular updates on the child's progress.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children with Autism and NVLD, preferably in a caregiving or educational setting.
- Understanding of sensory processing difficulties and strategies to support sensory regulation.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

Schedule:

- Flexitime
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Nannying: 1 year (preferred)
- childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
