Finance Assistant

Multiply are working in partnership with a Selkirk based company to recruit a Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable for a temp to perm opportunity. The role is paying a c. £12.80 per hour and has been created due to movement within the employer's finance department & comes with an immediate start,

**The Company**

A well established businesses in the local area who are going through a period of growth & change. They are a high performing business looking to add an interim Finance Assistant to their team for an initial 3 month period which will likely become a permanent role. The business are based in Selkirk and operate a flexible hybrid working policy seeing staff in the office 1-2 days per week.

**The Role**

The key remit of the Finance Assistant role is to assist with the purchase ledger tasks for the business with processing invoices, company expesnes but also has scope for some Payroll admin & sales ledger tasks.
- Accurately process invoices, ensuring they are correctly coded, approved, and matched to purchase orders
- Prepare payment runs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms
- Review employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Input Payroll data
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling vendor statements and preparing accruals

To be considered for the role you must meet the following:

- Experience within a Finance Assistant or Accounts Payable position
- Experience using Excel - pivot tables, Vlookups
- Available for an immediate start, or a start within the next 2 weeks
- Reliable commute to Selkirk 1-2 days per week

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
