As a Sign Fitter's Mate, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of signs. This role is crucial in supporting the lead sign fitters and ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards. This position involves hands-on work and requires a team player with a keen eye for detail.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist lead sign fitters with the installation of signs, including illuminated signs, vinyl graphics, and large-scale exterior signs.
- Prepare materials and tools required for each job.
- Ensure that all installations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Travel to various job sites as required, sometimes involving overnight stays.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area and vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role or a strong willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in sign fitting.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- CSCS card.
- IPAF certification. (desirable)
- PASMA certification. (desirable)
- Experience with electrical wiring and lighting for illuminated signs. (desirable)
- Training will be given
