Personnel Selection Andover is seeking a Development and Test Engineering Supervisor for one of our long term establish clients on the outskirts of Andover.

The purpose of the test equipment development engineering lead is to manage the test equipment in the production facility. Manage the test and manufacturing development engineer.

The role will require the creation of new test equipment (be it from external supply or internal manufacture) and ongoing support of the existing test equipment that is used during the manufacturing of new or repaired motors.Requirement to develop thedata structure, data solutions and metrics to improve performance of said test equipment.The role is business critical to ensure that the test equipment is operating correctly when required and thus minimising quality issues at the customer.The role willwork with the manufacturing engineering team and production support team to ensure the production facility is operating effectively and efficiently. The role will be integral to the improvement of First Pass Yield and test performance within the organisation.

**Qualifications / Skills Required / Functions.**
- Engineering degree.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an manufacturing role.
- Supervisory experience would be of benefit.
- General understanding of mechanical, electrics, electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Experience of SQL, Access and Excel.
- Experience of using programming languages such as C# and Lab view.
- 3Q6S knowledge.
- Lean manufacturing background.
- Strong command of the English language and the ability to communicate within the organization to sister sites, suppliers and customers.
- Good communication to all levels of staff, from operator level to senior management.
- Manage the production test equipment.
- Maintain existing test equipment including the creation of new test data and label data.
- Create new test equipment by a blend of design/make in house and working with subcontract manufacturers
- Work with the QA department to ensure test equipment is calibrated and where necessary develop new calibration process and procedures.
- Support new product introduction into production facility and other global facilities by means of being responsible for the production test equipment.
- Development and management of metrics for the performance of test equipment and improvement of said metrics.
- Provide test data as requested to help with the fault finding of products internally and possibly at customer facilities
- Work with the R&D team to understand the latest test methods and help to align and standardize testing throughout the facility.
- Creation of proposals for Capital expenditure requirements in line with business needs.
- Creation of metrics for area and allocation of manufacturing development engineer to relevant projects.
- Creation of Personal Development Reviews for reporting staff.
