We're currently looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner on a full time (35 hours), permanent basis. This position sits within the Finance & Operations/Finance department. We are flexible on the location of this role.

The purpose of this role is to deliver finance support to the People & Transformation Directorate by maximising the ongoing relationships with key operational stakeholders.

**The Job**

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner - People & Transformation, on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

- Own and manage a financial model capable of converting the Organisational Design structure into a financial forecast with clear assumptions
- Build relationships with key operational stakeholders to ensure clear and timely sharing of information
- Provide variance analysis and narrative on financial performance for the Directorate
- Identify, champion and support initiatives and change that will enhance the Finance support and add value to the organisation
- Ensure sound financial control and governance on all month end postings including proactive management of all payroll related provisions
- Perform all necessary year end tasks including but not limited to merit, ED bonus, holiday pay, gratuity, legal provisions
- Ensure successful upload and reconciliation of payroll budget and forecasts to D365

**The Person**

We're looking for someone who:

- Qualified accountant (ACCA ,ACA, CA, etc.) or modelling or statistical qualifications or significant experience based equivalent skills
- Experience with best practice financial modelling
- Experience of developing complex financial models from base assumptions
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills to actively interrogate and present data in a meaningful format
- Excellent Excel knowledge
- Strong communication skills and ability to present confidently and credibly
- Gravitas to build strong relationships, and the confidence to guide and challenge stakeholders
- Able to confidently articulate and recommend informed decisions both within Finance and to the wider Senior Management community
- An ability to handle multiple tasks under tight timelines and work under pressure
- Demonstrate a keenness for continual improvement
