Children's Health Promotion Advisor - 0-19
An opportunity has arisen to work within the 0-19 Service in St Helens to cover maternity leave for 12 months.
You will be joining a proactive skill mixed team working together to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to children and their families in the North locality of St Helens. The team is a skill mix of childrens health promotion advisors, school nurses, health visitors and public health nurses. Additionally, working closely with neighbouring multi agency and voluntary organisations to provide accessible, person centred packages of care in response to individual and local need.
The 0-19 Service in St Helens works to address health inequalities within the local area.
The 0-19 Service is a dynamic and exciting service, and becoming a Children’s Health Promotion Advisor/Nursery Nurse with us will offer you the opportunity to work within the public health and health promotion domains.
You should possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to working effectively both as part of a team and independently. An in depth knowledge of the current health agenda relating to children’s services and the 0-19 Service is essential.
We have an established preceptorship programme in place and you will be well supported by your manager and colleagues and valued in your role as a member of the 0-19 Service. We offer opportunities for personal and professional development and you will receive annual appraisal, clinical and safeguarding supervision.
