An exciting opportunity for Synthetic Chemist to join a Chemical Manufacturing company, who have an established reputation within the materials manufacturing industry. As a Synthetic Chemist you will be working within a small research team whilst applyingsynthetic chemistry knowledge to develop new novel compounds and existing materials.

A crucial aspect of this role will involve wet chemistry techniques and the handling of air sensitive materials. You will be responsible for the development of, synthesis, and material characterisation. This a great opportunity for a Synthetic Chemist tojoin an established materials manufacturing company based in the North West.

**Key Duties**:

- Providing development planning and experimental design
- Develop existing and novel compound materials using various wet chemistry techniques
- Characterising synthesised materials and intermediates
- Deliver technology to meet required targets
- Writing risk and COSHH assessments for all work carried out
- Documenting and reporting results, preparing presentations with the relevant technical data
- Actively contributing ideas to the team and company

**Key Requirements**:

- Experienced synthesis background in lab based organic, inorganic or formulation chemistry
- Nanomaterial synthesis experience and experience using inert gas techniques
- Effective organisation time planning and communication skills
