The role of Associate Financial Planner is a critical one in our business and plans a key part of the process in delivering first-class lifetime financial planning advice and service to our portfolio of long term and brand new clients.

The role covers several key areas including:
**Preparation of Strategic and Regulated Advice**
- Identify and discuss areas of lifetime financial planning with the Financial Planner, ensuring full consideration is given to all viable planning options.
- Formulate strategies, identify suitable solutions to meet clients' needs and specific objectives and instruct the support team to draft specific recommendations.
- Work with the support team to produce clear technically accurate, compliant and concise financial plans and suitability reports, as per business processes and internal standards
- Consider current and future asset allocation for investment strategies in relation to client risk profiles and lifetime cashflows.

**Client Servicing**
- Assist with the management of a portfolio of clients and their needs.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, manage their needs and enquiries and attend meetings.
- Prepare client documentation in advance of and following client meetings, including meeting notes as per business processes and within required timescales.
- Provide ongoing servicing to existing clients as per service propositions, internal standards and business processes.

**Reviews**
- Review client cases including lifetime financial planning, investments, asset allocations, risk profiles etc with assistance from the support team
- Attend client meetings and complete file notes within required time scales.
- Oversee implementation of agreed actions post all client meetings with assistance from the support team.

**Training and Accreditation**
- Full commitment to attaining the Competent Adviser Status and agreed advanced Financial Planning qualifications.
- Complete your training programme as per your Training and Development plan.
- Drive your own self-development and learning, evidenced by regular learning activity.
- Keep up to date with the current developments in financial services, financial markets, and economic trends.

**Essential Skills**
- Diploma in Financial Planning.
- Good interpersonal skills, able to develop client trust and inspire confidence.
- Take ownership of your personal development.
- Highly organised, methodical and disciplined.
- Able to work under supervision within regulatory frameworks.
- Good questioning and listening skills to uncover clients' objectives.
- Attention to detail, able to prioritise and work under pressure on occasions to achieve deadlines.
- A positive attitude, willing to help others and thrive in taking a key role in a small team.
