**Salary**: £25,000

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm, Hybrid (3 days in office)

Location: 40 Grosvenor Place, London, United Kingdom, SW1X 7AW

Contract: Permanent

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Health Record Coordinator that is trained in all aspects of the Health Information (Health Records) Service, including but not limited to: scanning, preparation, quality assurance and duplicate registration remediation.

This will include working with and using Electronic Health Records such as Epic and OnBase.

The post holder requires a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail whilst striving for the highest standards in their own work.

What will your duties include?- Perform medical record handling functions, including but not limited to record reconciliation, quality assurance, scanning, and transcription.- Ensure paper health records are prepared, scanned and stored appropriately, in line with local procedures- Serve as the first line of quality assurance of paper health records prior to and after entry in to OnBase/Epic.- Organise and import electronically received records into Epic- Ensure all identified duplicate registrations are investigated and resolved- Deal with ad hoc requests in a timely manner and deliver within the agreed timescales.- Communicate work activity and priorities to HIM Leadership.- To support and/or give guidance to other staff on health records management in line with CCL’s Health Records Policy and the Department’s local procedural documentation.- Actively participates in quality audits of the health record to ensure documentation integrity- Other duties as assigned- The post holder will be required to work across multiple hospital sites in line with service needs

What we need from you?- It is essential to have a demonstrable track record in a Medical Records Department in an acute care hospital setting- Experience working with health records, scanning, document preparation and handling confidential information is essential- Must have excellent communication skills, knowledge of medical record functions, processes, and regulatory requirements- Experience of hospital systems or an Electronic Document Management system is
- _essential_- Proficiency in Microsoft office products and Hospital information systems, PAS, Health Records- Ability to work on own initiative whilst under pressure, including working to tight deadlines and prioritising work effectively- A logical and methodical approach to work with a high degree of accuracy- Working knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology- Working knowledge of Data Quality and Information Governance requirements
