Painter and Decorator

As a Paradigm Technician working for our DLO (Direct Labour Operation) we’ll supply you with a fully equipped hybrid van (no insurance renewals or services to concern yourself with as we do that) and a fuel card to ensure you can get around easily. We’ll provide you with an electronic tablet where your you can see your scheduled jobs and access our intranet for the latest company news. You’ll also get a mobile ‘phone, work clothing and PPE and we’ll aim to book your jobs in your local area where possible. You will be the face of Paradigm and will deliver a quality service to our customers in their homes, so a friendly and polite manner is as important as competence and high standards of work in your given trade.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for executing both internal and external painting and decorating tasks.

This involves thorough preparation of walls for decoration, including the completion of necessary repairs to surfaces and structures prior to painting. Your work will require the safe and proficient use of relevant tools and equipment.

Monitoring and managing decorating material stock is a crucial aspect of the role, and you will be expected to request replenishment as required. Undertaking painting and decorating work as needed, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality.

**Role specific requirements**:

- ** Must hold a recognised qualification (NVQ/BTEC) OR substantial experience in Painting with verifiable references.**:

- **Must have delivered a high standard of customer-focused service.**:

- **Be physically fit and able to use ladders and scaffolding.**:

- **Able to take ownership of issues/problems and personally resolve them.**:

- ** Health & Safety awareness including relevant H&S legislation.**:

- **Good communication skills as will be required to use an electronic tablet for work (training given).**:

- ** Able to work on own initiative.**:

- ** Full valid driving licence.
