**Finance Business Partner**

This is a strategic and varied finance role. Working within a team of Finance Business Partners and working closely with the Director of Finance and Financial Controller, you will ensure that senior management benefit from sound advice across all aspectsof finance, whilst delivering insightful analysis that links to the business strategies.

**Finance Business Partner Responsibilities**

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Working with senior management to develop individual programme budgets and monitor performance against budgets and profit targets, making recommendations where appropriate
- Providing commercial and financial advice including negotiation of joint venture agreements and improvements to existing courses financial performance
- Understanding key financial drivers and preparing commentary on the monthly management accounts
- Preparing budgets and forecasts and supporting and empowering budget holders
- Supporting the Head of FPA in the development of the longer-term strategic planning providing medium term financial projections for relevant activities, investigating, analysing and challenging information to formulate the plan
- Playing a lead role in the continuous improvement of the wider finance team processes
- Other duties commensurate with the nature and grade of this Finance Business Partner role including ad hoc projects

**Finance Business Partner Experience**

To be suitable for this position, you will have strong commercial acumen including an ability to identify cost savings, efficiencies and improvements to help meet stretching financial targets. You will have excellent interaction, communication and collaborationskills, establishing credibility and being able to influence change amongst those you support. You will have a proven can-do attitude, a willingness to adapt in an ever-evolving environment and a commitment to supporting all areas of the business as the needsarise. You will have a recognised accounting qualification from a chartered professional body, or progression towards qualification, combined with substantial experience in finance business partnering and/ or management accounting, having worked with budgetholders in financial planning, reporting and analysis. You will be from a commercial sales and service operation finance background with demonstrable examples of introducing new processes to improve accuracy of data. You will be a team-player who enjoys workingin a dynamic and growing environment.

**Location**

Our client is based in central Oxford (OX1). There is no onsite parking but very well connected by bus and train. You will be expected to work twice a week from the office.
