Kitchen Assistant/cook

This is working in a care home, so ideally someone with prior experience. We are 26 bed home and we have residents who all have specific needs met.
D.B.S check is required
Good Record Keeping, FULL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
This role is part time weekends and weekdays. Will also be required to cover annual leave and sickness
**Duties**:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in the development of new menu items
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
**Experience**:
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time
**Salary**: From £10.90 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 14 per week
