This H&R Finance role works as a Business Partner to the senior management team in a number of our overseas trading entities (allocation TBC) and acts as a key liaison between the overseas colleagues, the H&R leadership and all Group Functions.

The SFM will lead and manage the hotels businesses with regards to setting and delivering strategies, financial planning and reporting, financial control, funding, commercial finance, business development, legal matters and general support. The SFM willwork closely with divisional and senior entity teams to ensure that all businesses work to optimise hotel profitability & cash flow whilst maintaining appropriate operating standards. The hotel portfolio will be actively managed, with clear decisions takenabout future investments, divestments, new leases and management contract extensions and terminations.
**ABOUT THE JOB**

Control and reporting
- Lead the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles. Working with divisional management and the local business teams to ensure robust and insightful forecasts and budgets
- Manage the monthly Financial Reporting cycle, provision of insightful commentaries to support submissions
- Implement the development of a robust and monitored control environment & Risk Reporting with the businesses
- Manage the development and implementation of policies, procedures and processes
- Financial performance / impairment calculations / delivery - review and challenge where appropriate, work with colleagues to optimise reported results (and make sure there is sufficient rigour in the entity processes to do same at that level).
- Cash flow & CapEx management - to ensure cash flows & capital spend are accurately presented and that cash is managed in coordination with the Group Treasury Department
- Hold Directorships in UK & Overseas subsidiaries. Ensure overseas subsidiaries have up to date company secretarial records

Commercial finance
- Lead & Deliver hotel and commercial strategy
- Options / scenario analysis - including building complex integrated financial models
- End to end profitability - evaluate overall hotel performance both for the tour operators, hotels division and TUI Group overall
- Funding strategy - ensure all businesses are adequately financed and determine financing strategies in line with group functions
- Management of Luton cost centre

Strategy & Business Development
- Lead, develop and challenge the business & divisional strategy to maximise returns for the Hotels Division
- Drive business development, review, challenge and execute hotel transactions / preparation of business cases / board approval papers
- Develop people and systems strategies
- Take ownership of regular calls between entity and divisional leadership, make sure they are valuable for all and monitor any actions arising

General
- To increase awareness and champion the group hotels across the business
- The leadership, management and development of Finance staff
- Co-ordinate insurance for hotel entities by acting as intermediary between the hotel companies, TUI Group insurance department and TUI Group’s insurance broker.No prior knowledge of insurance is required (would be taught) as this is a co-ordination rolenot technical role

**ABOUT YOU**
- 5+ years’ experience working in Head Office Finance roles, ideally with a recognised accounting qualification.
- Significant experience operating in large/complex, international businesses, and specifically working with overseas Finance teams and FDs.
- Ideally with prior experience of working in TUI and/ or a hotels business
- Excellent systems skills (Excel, HFM, SAP + hotel POS etc)
- Demonstrable track record of leading and influencing others
- Excellent communicator, persuasive, able to develop effective working relationships whilst providing positive challenge where appropriate
- Confident and comfortable making decisions, setting standards for self and others
- A team player but able to work independently, proactive and self-motivated
- Well organised with a good eye for detail, strong analytical skills
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing situations & to ensure that departmental objectives are met
