Our client are a catering butchers based in NW London. They have a sterling reputation and have been in business in the local area for over 47 years. They are looking to recruit a food production manager who has excellent butchering skills.

You will be based mainly on the production floor of their London facility.

You will need to have experience in food manufacturing and excellent people and organisational skills as you will oversee the production team of 20+ people, ensuring team output is of a high standard as well as team satisfaction. You will work closely withthe Managing Director, who also spends a lot of time on the factory floor on day-to-day issues regarding production and operational output.

**Responsibilities**
- Take full responsibility for the running of all aspects of the production floor, ensuring a smooth and streamlined operation including the manufacturing of all products to a high standard.
- Manage the production team setting the daily production schedule for each day, taking into consideration all product lines and accompanying stock levels.
- Oversee the packing and distribution of our orders, organising the workload of your team to ensure sufficient staff to pack and fulfil orders daily.
- Manage stock rotation of both raw materials and finished product. Organise and ensure that the storage or raw materials is in line with health and safety requirements.
- Assist Managing Director in respect of ordering of all raw materials in a timely manner.
- Ensure all production staff and the production area meets health & safety policy and food safety standards.
- Assist Technical team in Maintaining all paper documentation relating to production including recipes, HACCP, food hygiene and health and safety records.
- Assist Technical team in ensuring traceability records are implemented, signed off and stored periodically checking that these are working effectively.
- First point of contact for your team members, responding to their questions and supporting them in their work.
- Develop, conduct, and document training and refresher training programmes for all team

The typical hours for this role are 3am-2pm Monday to Friday. Opportunity for Saturday working if desired.
