**Salary**: £11.50 - £12.00 per hour

**Overview**:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Forklift Driver on behalf of one of our clients.

Ensuring accurate, efficient and effective loading of all goods-out on to vehicles, company’s own and third party hauliers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the yard areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and housekeeping is maintained.
- Ensuring that warehouses are clean, tidy and efficiently run at all times.
- Ensure all housekeeping records are maintained and kept up to date.
- Conduct daily FLT vehicle checks to ensure the vehicles are road worthy e.g., tyres, lights working etc.
- Adopting a quality assurance approach at all times e.g., reviewing stock picked and loaded for defects such as poor wrapping, damaged pallets, bottles, crowns etc.
- Ensuring proper stock rotation procedures are followed.
- Assist with the off-loading of empty bottles.
- Assist with the offloading of packaging.
- Assist with the off-loading and storage of chemicals adhering to Chemical Awareness Training.
- Shunting of vehicles as and when required, if trained.
- Ensuring accurate, efficient and effective loading of all goods-out on to vehicles.
- Ensuring that loads are securely palletised and correctly loaded for even weight distribution.
- Using scanners and relevant paperwork, load vehicles ensuring correct drop order, completing correct sign off of loads.
- Yard & loading areas are kept clean and tidy.
- To ensure the correct bottles are offloaded as per the production requirement.
- Safe offloading and storage of empty kegs as vehicles return to site, ensuring only good fit for purpose locator boards and pallets are used.
- Splitting kegs into 12’s as required to ensure adequate space for future production runs.
- Ensuring all finished products are correctly scanned and stowed in a safe manner within our racking system.
- Working to create empty bins for all finished products, rotating them correctly.
- To include pre picking of export orders for loading and any other third-party hauliers ensuring that all products are ready for loading on time, in full - ensuring accuracy.
- To visually inspect racking daily and report any defects to your Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Obtaining packaging requirement list for the following days production.
- When a wish list is raised, ensure all products required are scanned and ready for pick.
- Liaising with Supply Chain with regards to all packaging materials ordered.
- To maintain a Goods Inwards calendar to ensure efficiencies within the yard and liaising with external hauliers.
- To deliver all small deliveries (parcels) to the correct personnel obtaining a signed receipt.
- To ensure bottle collections meet production requirements.
- To adhere to the export collection schedule as per the agreed collection time.
- Pick export orders in an efficient and accurate way using scanners.
- Ensuring that loads are secure and correctly loaded onto heat treated pallets with even weight distribution.
- Clean and tidy and baling of cardboard when required.
- To maintain the supply of packaging materials & shrink boxes, replenishing the machinery as required.
- To ensure a constant supply of pallets to the palletizer area of canning Line - ensuring all pallets are correctly stacked and right way up.
- To ensure that all pallets of finished products are taken from the palletiser safely and securely to transport, ensuring pallet tickets are attached correctly.
- The employee will comply with company policies and procedures outlined in their terms and conditions and also those stated in the company handbook. This includes site hygiene, environmental and safety rules.
- To undertake training as and when required in order to enhance skills within the position.
- To perform any other duties within their capability.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Forklift truck licence (Counter balance).
- Previous warehouse experience and production preferred but not essential.
- Loading of vehicles.
- Ability to complete logbooks.
- Work on your own initiative.
- Good communication between departments.
- Good team player.
- Flexible in both working hours and tasks.
- Can do attitude.
