4 Week Rotation - 12 hour days

We are currently looking for a Resident Inspector to join the team at our Spooling & Inspection Division.

The successful rotational Resident Inspector will be based on-board a client vessel carrying out routine NDT work covering all aspects of individual components to periodic structural surveys utilising all NDT and Inspection methods and equipment as required. They will also be required to commission and operate equipment in a competent and professional manner, communicating effectively with the client and relevant Motive Offshore Group departments.

**Responsibilities**:

- To stay on-board client vessel on an agreed rotation to perform inspection, advisory and equipment operation services.
- Where qualified, carry out spooling activities such as wire rope and cable removal, change out and installation.
- Where qualified, carry out various rope access works such as inspection, NDT, structural installations and removals, shot blasting and painting in a safe and efficient manner. Where qualified rig up and inspect rope access equipment prior to and during use.
- Where qualified, carry out visual and NDT examination of all types and construction of high performance wire rope.
- Where qualified, carry out routine surveys, inspections and load testing of Lifting equipment and their accessories and the immediate reporting of defects or concerns.
- Where qualified, carry out pressure lubrication of all types of high performance wire ropes in accordance with working procedures and COSHH Assessments.
- Stocktake equipment on arrival at worksite, communicating any anomalies and or damage to the client and Operations Coordinator.
- Operate equipment as per clients’ instructions, ensuring all daily checks and paperwork is completed.
- Complete Daily Client Service Record Forms in full, with accurate times and descriptions obtaining signed approval from the client.
- Demobilise equipment at the worksite and prepare for shipping, completing any necessary cargo manifests.
- Undertake general workshop duties as and when required.
- Proper set up of equipment, calibration and interpretation of graphs.
- Use of Kinetic Software for the production of good quality inspection reports ready to send to customers.
- Adherence to client safe working practices and quality assurance systems.
- Travelling to worldwide destinations as and when required.
- Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders - clients, colleagues etc.
- To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.

**Required skills / knowledge**:

- Suitable NDT certification (PCN Level II).
- Offshore certification.
- Experience operating machinery.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise.
