**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of the UKs largest supplier of doormats and soft furnishings.
- Working out VAT payments split of motor VAT etc
- Making payments via BACs and cheques
- Processing staff expenses & credit card expenses
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Filing invoices
- Managing petty cash
- Data entry
- Being the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
- Import related bank docs, check, accept and distribute and liaise with shipping companies as appropriate
- Calculates duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume of merchandise that is imported to foreign countries
- Payroll cover
- Prepares import/export documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Instrastat completion
- Cover for sales ledger
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Purchase ledger invoices, authorisation process
- Matching, checking and coding invoices
- Investigating purchase price differences
- Stock invoices - GRN match
- Audit assist queries

Must have a purchase ledger/accounts background
