Come and join our enthusiastic and friendly team of almost 50 dietitians and dietetic assistants, supported by an administration team, delivering services in acute, primary care and public health settings. As well as providing services to inpatient wards, the Dietetic team undertake a range of activities such as outpatient clinics and education and training for professionals, stake holders and service users. The specialties covered within the department include nutrition support, public health, gastroenterology, stroke, paediatrics, and diabetes. It should be noted that bank dietetic assistants provide support to Dietitians within the department, across a variety of areas as needed - you are not guaranteed hours. You may be needed for just a few hours, up to several weeks, or even months, depending on the needs of the department.

Dietetic Assistants assist Registered Dietitians to provide services, by helping to ensure nutritional care plan are followed, carrying out reviews and by completing other related tasks, including administration, to support the broader nutrition and dietetics service in hospital settings and in the community. Assistants work across a number of settings, including reviewing inpatients, visiting care home settings and by telephone. You will also assist with tasks related to dietetic care such as administration, managing essential resources and home enteral feed discharge system, depending on experience and skills. All necessary training and supervision will be provided.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
