**About the opening...**

This is a combined role, delivering orders directly to our customer's farms in a Bartholomews van and taking ownership of the stores including managing our stock, picking orders handling incoming goods, liaising with the team and running a customer ‘self-collect’ system.

**Main Duties**:

- Multi drop orders direct to our customers farms throughout the area and on a 4 days per week basis in a 3 ½ ton van, loading and off-loading drops.
- Pick and prepare orders in the store, ensuring these are checked-off and correct, taking care with all deliveries to ensure the right products are always delivered to the right places.
- Manage the warehouse and store activity loading and unloading orders, being store based on a 1 day per week basis.
- Keep the stores clean and tidy, handling and storing stock with care and within proper guidelines.
- Ensure that stock is replenished and is available, look to resolve or escalate any problems for resolution.
- Undertake to learn about the range of products and services that we offer and to be able to fulfil your role to its highest potential.
- There may be some earlier starts / late finishes through the year and to meet the seasonal demands of our business linked to the farming calendar.

**About you**:
You will need to hold a UK Drivers Licence ideally with 1 year’s commercial driving experience and have used a Counterbalance Fork-Lift Truck. As the role will be hands-on a times, a reasonable level of fitness will be required. Previous experience with warehousing/stock systems and Microsoft Office. Finally and importantly, a personable approach with a willingness to help, friendly and polite, organised and motivated.

An interest and passion for the farming industry, related work experience within a similar agricultural business, feed or country-store is advantageous for this position.
