Greenwich Time To Talk - Employer Adviser in NHS Talking Therapies Programme

**Fixed term**: initially funding confirmed to 31st March 2025

**2 x Full Time**: 37.50 hours per week

**1 x Part Time**: 24.5 hours per week

Exciting opportunities for two full time and one part time enthusiastic and highly motivated Employment Advisers to join our Employment Team at Greenwich Time To Talk IAPT service.

The Employment Adviser's role is to deliver the core employment support provision in IAPT, working with individuals who are in employment, or who are out of work and on health-related benefits. Clients are given individually tailored support to find new employment, to return to employment after a sickness absence, or to resolve challenges at work.

The post holders will support people accessing Greenwich Time To Talk IAPT service to find, retain or return to work by offering Advice, Information and Guidance.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with service users, clinicians and therapists including local employability partners, services, and agencies.

You will have experience of delivering employment support and will be able to manage a caseload of 25 to 30 clients as well as possessing a high level of IT literacy across various software packages.

You will have excellent organisational skills, be able to prioritise tasks and possess good time management skills.

You must be familiar with supporting people who have experienced mental health issues, particularly in accessing employment and understand the principles of the Equalities Act and how it relates to Employment Rights.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive and highly motivated attitude.

**RESPONSIBLE FOR**:
Managing own caseload of 25 - 30 clients, ensuring excellent communications with the IAPT team and other relevant employment provision partners.

Providing online employability group interventions to support the employment pathway for service users referred to the Employment Team.

**RESPONSIBLE TO**:
Senior Employment Advisers

**LIAISES WITH**:
IAPTs Team; clinicians, therapists, and counsellors
Employability partners including Job Centre Plus and other local employment programme providers.
Primary care teams.
Service Users.
Clients' Employers with consent.

Overview of the Post

**Provide Employment interventions which include**: one to one sessions (face to face / video conferencing / telephone / electronic) and /or group sessions with clients for:
Gaining sustainable employment

Staying in employment

Returning to work after sickness absence

Conducting Employment assessments with newly referred clients.

Offering Advice, Information and Guidance including signposting to meet the client’s employment goals.

Work with a solution focussed approach maintaining clients' aspirations at the centre.

Balance managing a high, demanding, and variable caseload with the administrative requirements of the Employment Adviser role.

Provide weekly and monthly caseload figures which support Employment Team performance and wider project outcomes.
