**Description**:
An end to end technical Solution Designer is required to join the Personal Banking domain to work on a new feature being added to the retail banking clients mobile banking apps, specifically inbound messaging notifications for when a customer receives acredit card refund, and the potential of how this could then be applied to additional banking features.

This role is for a specific Technology Solution Architect to determine how many source systems we would need to connect to gain the data for each payment type (BACS, CHAPs, Faster Payments); and determine whether there is additional effort to enable inboundnotifications for credit card refunds as part of MVP.

In addition to this the Solutions Architect will be required to;
- To support the assessment of the impact of enabling preferences at the account level and notification type and preference options
- To support backlog build and input user stories.

Follow-on activity
- High Level Solution Design required.

Engagement required:

- Hermes, Payments and Data & Analytics in addition to NWP

Key activities include:

- Assistance with understanding what products and services the business wish to create, mainly in relation to credit card payments and mobile devices.

The successful consultant will use WoW techniques day to day, including Agile Scrum and DevOps.

Their own Architecture and Design work will be based on TOGAF and established internal practice.
- This is an opportunity for an experienced end to end technology Solution Architect to join the Everyday Banking domain team, part of Retail Banking Digitech.
- You will help us define the high-level technical architecture and design solutions that deliver great business outcomes and meet our longer term strategy across one of our goal areas: Inbound Messaging for credit card refunds.
- You’ll define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision of end-to-end designs that may span multiple Domains and platforms
- Take on this exciting new challenge, use existing skills and knowledge, work with new technologies and partners, while advancing your career and building your network across the Bank.

We’ll look to you to influence and promote the collaboration across platform and domain teams on the solution delivery. Partnering with Customer Journey teams, other domain and platform teams, you’ll build a clear understanding of the Business feature, you’llvalidate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives, and help create the continuous delivery pipeline. You’ll factor re-use opportunities from previous or related initiatives elsewhere and identify relevant risks.

On top of this, you’ll be:

- Owning the technical design issues, driving resolution through iteration of the solution design, collaborating with Business and technical colleagues in multiple roles. You’ll often work on the initiative from concept through the design phase and continueto have involvement through build, test and into delivery.
- Participating in activities to shape requirements (through the Customer Journey and user stories), validating designs and prototypes to deliver change that aligns with the target architecture.
- Promoting adaptive design practices to drive collaboration of feature teams around a common technical vision using continuous feedback
- Making recommendations of potential impacts to existing and prospective customers of the latest technology and customer trends

Ideally, you'll have experience analysing, designing and supporting delivery of features within Retail Banking, particularly around all forms of payments and every day interactions for our customers. Relevant experience of similar work in other franchises/ segments will also be considered. Our solutions must consider the needs of vulnerable customers with limited or no access to technology as well as those who are digitally active.
