Recroot are looking for a HR Officer to join our client based at Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

This is for a 12 month contract working Mon to Fri 36 hours a week.

**Position Overview**:The HR Officer at Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources function of the organization. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities related to employee management, recruitment, training, and policy implementation to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the fire and rescue service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist in conducting interviews, reference checks, and selection procedures.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

**Employee Relations**:Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Address employee queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and disciplinary matters.

**Training and Development**:Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and create development plans for employees.
Assist in organizing and coordinating training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

**HR Administration**:Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, contracts, and other relevant documents.
Prepare HR reports, statistics, and analyses as required by management.
Manage leave requests, attendance records, and timekeeping systems.

**Policy Implementation**:Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, making necessary updates to policies as needed.

Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
