A new and exciting position has arisen for a dynamic and process driven Head of Finance to join a Construction Company. You will be responsible for taking ownership of the Finance department and be able to advise on process improvements & streamlining procedures.This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

Duties will cover the full spectrum of finance operations, including budgeting and forecasting, preparation of management accounts, cash flow management and auditing.

**Experience / Skills**:

- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare month end accounts
- Manage the audit process with external accountancy company
- Oversee the preparation of year end accounts with an external accountancy company
- Managing, mentoring and motivating the finance team
- Budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, budget analysis
- Undertaking financial analysis and reporting
- Overseeing Payroll
- HMRC reporting
- Complete VAT returns
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
- Contribution to company financial strategy and decision making process.
- Report directly to the CEO on financial performance

- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Access Dimensions accountancy software - not essential
- Experience working in the construction industry - not essential
