What is the job role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join Coventry Register Office. As a casual registrar, you will be involved in officiating at marriages and civil partnerships, and other non-statutory ceremonies including baby naming, renewal of vows and commitment ceremonies — all duties required under the Registration Acts and Regulations.
This is a casual post to meet the service's demands and needs, which will include working weekends and bank holidays. The ability to attend venues across the city in a private vehicle at specific times is essential including transporting other registrars when required
Who are we looking for?
Excellent people skills are vital, as is the ability to speak confidently before large groups. The role requires you to be personally involved with customers in both a professional and sensitive manner.
You will need to be flexible and you must be a motivated individual who understands the demands of working within this type of environment and will have a good understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the service.
