We are looking for a detail oriented, friendly and customer service oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. The Optical Assistant will be responsible for helping clients select glasses, giving customers an in-depth explanation of frames, and helping our Optical Manager do administrative work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Sell and measure optical frames for customers.
- Sell contact lenses for customers.
- Sell sunglasses and other accessories for customers.
- Assist customers in selecting eyeglasses and sunglasses.
- Work with the optometrist to ensure the proper fit of eyeglasses and sunglasses.
- Communicate with patients about their exam results and the services provided by the practice.
- Use optical machines to measure patients' eyes.
- Transcribe documents using a computer.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
