**About the Department**:
APSS is responsible for delivering, monitoring and reviewing initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for students from backgrounds underrepresented in higher education, and takes the lead in activities delivered under the School’s Access & Participation Plans. The team works across the student life-cycle, partnering with a range of external partners, including schools, and internally with academic departments and professional services, to create and deliver a varied programme of activities.

**About the Role**

The Student Ambassador Officer is a key role in the Access, Participation and Student Success department which forms part of SOAS’ Student and Academic Services Directorate. The purpose of the role is to centrally recruit, train and manage a team of Student Ambassadors to support a range of different academic and professional service functions, including those used by the Access, Participation & Student Success, Student Experience, Engagement & Retention and Marketing & Student Recruitment departments.
