Cement Operative

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**:
To support Maen Karne in its objective to become the first choice for Bulk Cement supply in the Southwest. Whilst complying to H&S guidelines to help Maen Karne achieve our target of Zero Harm.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Induct visitors and contractors as required to the site to safeguard them and ensure they adhere to the respective site health and safety rules.
- Understand and follow risk assessments, SSOW before any task is performed, manage, and control any contractors working on site.
- Ensure that all current legislation, company procedures and policies are adhered to.
- Undertake Daily, weekly, and monthly HSEQ inspections whilst ensuring site, plant, facilities are in a clean, safe working condition.
- Timely reporting of any accident and incidents to the Operations Manager. Identify and report any near misses.
- Facilitate loading of cement tankers using 'Rip & Tip' method.
- Drive H70 forklift.
- Assist with periodic cement deliveries (Boat offload, this may include occasional weekend working).
- Liaise with external shipping team and customers via WhatsApp regarding delivery schedule.
- Maintain basic paperwork for daily checks (Plant and Machinery) and stock control.
- Observe HSE according to Company Management system and permit conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness of site and machinery.

**KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB**:

- Experience in an industrial workplace or a similar environment (desirable).
- FLT license (Desirable).
- Full training is provided.
