Consultant Gastroenterologist**:
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team of 6 Gastroenterologist working on a dedicated Gastroenterology ward. This post holder will not be expected to take part in GIM on-call.
Our Endoscopy Unit has been awarded the highest praise by JAG at accreditation this year, with the assessors reporting ‘both sites operation to an equally exceptional standard and easily some of the highest standards seen in the UK’.
The service recently achieved accreditation for BCSP on both our Warrington and Halton sites. We are also looking to set up an EUS service as part of the new scope contract that is due to commence this year.
We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our dynamic and progressive team. The appointee will be expected to be proficient in Diagnostic and most therapeutic endoscopy and will part of a GI bleed 1:6 rota.
We are seeking individuals with any of the following subspecialty interest and experience
- Luminal Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease
- Hepatology interest
- Hepatobiliary interest with ERCP/EUS experience
Applicants are required to have full registration and be either on the GMC Specialist Register by CCST or equivalent or be within 6 months of entry by CCST or equivalent by the interview date.
The post is based predominantly at Warrington Hospital with some clinical sessions undertaken at Halton Hospital. Halton is 8 miles from Warrington Hospital.
