Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for an HSSES Senior Advisor. This role is critical in ensuring consistency of approach, driving transformational change and the continued development of our EMEA approaches to effective HSSES Management across the function and wider business in line with Enterprise expectations. The role will be responsible for ensuring that HSSES services are provided to stakeholders effectively and efficiently, ensuring compliance with health, safety, security, sustainability, and environmental standards.

This role will be critical in supporting the HSSES VP in tactically executing the EMEA strategy, developing and delivering key activities across EMEA and supporting the service lines, continuing to build and strengthen relationships both internally and externally.

**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities**:

- Point of contact and provision of advice for the whole of the EMEA Region on all HSSES matters
- Support the development and drive for the whole of the EMEA Region HSSESS activities including objectives and key results, best practice development, leading transformational change across all countries in EMEA and support of wider global initiatives
- Design, development and drafting of HSSES standards and procedures and management of the consultation and publication process for all countries within the EMEA Region
- Act as custodian of the EMEA HSSES Management System content and support relevant certification requirement associated with the MS
- Be the focal point for external bodies across the whole EMEA region developing strong collaborative relationships
- Provide support to Tenders and Proposals Bid teams across the EMEA Region
- Ability to confidently and credibly represent VP EMEA as required globally within Wood
- Provide support to manage the EMEA PPE Forum
- Be the focal point for management of the legislative compliance system and associated activities
- Support RES with HSSES office safety matters

Skills / Qualifications:

- ** Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HSE qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ 5)
- Demonstratable previous experience of HSESS within O&G, Pharma, heavy civil engineering, or other regulated industries across the EMEA region
- Chartered or Grad IOSH- or equivalent preferred
- Broad understanding of sustainable business practice and environmental management
- Strong project management with demonstratable previous experience in methods such as PRINCE2, Lean, Six Sigma, SCRUM etc. - essential
- Demonstrable regulatory knowledge and excellent relationships with the Regulators across the EMEA Region

**Knowledge, skills, and experience**:

- Knowledge and ability to development, support, and work within a key HSSES Management System structure
- Strong HSSES operations knowledge and ability as it relates to business strategic priorities and growth plans
- Strong technical skills regarding, problem solving, HSESS best practices would be an advantage
- Experienced in providing this level of HSSES Support across a variety of locations within the EMEA RegionPromote HSESS excellence and advocate continuous improvement of work processes and systems
- Work collaboratively and effectively with functional areas and other operating areas
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with all levels of the organization and third parties
