Laundry Attendant

**LAUNDRY/DRYCLEANING MANAGER & PA TO DIRECTOR**

**A laundry & dry-cleaning manager required to become part of an established team at our friendly, modern shop in Ponteland. Working closely in Production with other long standing colleague, this role requires someone who both approaches their work methodically and with great care and who shares our commitment to providing customers with a top quality service.**

**Responsibilities will include**:
You will be working (2 / 3 days per week initially) part time eventully leading to a full time position. We are very flexible, so if you need to swap a day, we always try to accommodate.

**Your key responsibilities will also include, but not be limited to**:

- Ensuring Quality Control
- Collaborating with the business owner and other Laundry Assistants on shift
- Maintaining effective communication with customers
- Promoting sustainability at every corner
- Recording data in an accurate and meticulous manner
- Serving customers
- Answering the telephone
- Solvent record keeping
- Cleaning and housekeeping
- Preparing customers orders
- Ordering stock
- Till operation
- Manage wedding dress bookings and diary
- Business development
- Awards and accreditations
- Compliance and health and safety

**Requirements**:

- A tidy work ethic
- Computer literate
- Good management skills
- Good business acumen
- A knowledge of digital marketing would be desirable
- Previous laundry or dry cleaning experience is desirable - we will provide all the training you need to be successful in your role. This job involves using a steam iron to return garments to their original shape having been through a wet clean process. You may have worked in a traditional dry cleaners, or perhaps in a hotel or care setting, processing uniform or guest laundry.
- Good at dealing with people of all types Good eye sight and attention to detail Physically active.
- Have a Driving license, Honest and reliable.
- Assisting the owner with his other personal and business affairs.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £12.00 - 15.00 per hour
