We are looking for a CNC Operator with some experience of setting machines, to work on a **two-shift **pattern & the main purpose of the role is to set & operate our milling machine tools within the **Side Plate** Manufacturing Area. To maintain and improve machine uptime. And to be flexible regarding operating within other CNC machine areas on small to medium size batch quantities in a production environment as required.

You will start on Day shift whilst training - 39 hours per week.

Monday - Thursday 0700 - 1600
Friday 0700 - 1200

Salary whilst training £26000 - £30000

Shift pattern - 39 hours per week. Alternating shift patter after successful training period.
**Early shift**
Monday - Thursday 0600 - 1400
Friday 0600 - 1300

**Late shift**
Monday - Thursday 1400 - 2200
Friday 1200 - 1900
Salary, including shift premium £29900 - £34500 depending on skills and experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setting & Operating CNC Milling machines within the **Side Plate Cell** on a two-shift pattern
- Responsible for the quality of component parts manufactured
- To Follow Quality Plans, Improve & develop as required
- Communicate well with the direct team & other staff members
- Work safely and report any health and safety issues
- To be precise & be able to use various measuring equipment in an accurate way.
- Good housekeeping behaviours

**Key Requirements**:

- Be able to demonstrate good skills & manufacturing experience on a variety of CNC machine tools.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in CNC Milling
- Understanding & Experience in setting machines
- Be able to interpret technical drawings to a good standard
- Ability to follow written & verbal instruction well.
- Computer literate
- Good attention to detail and ability to learn new skills
- Have a positive & proactive approach on Continuous Improvement.
- To have a “can do” attitude
- Positive team player

**Desirable but not Essential**:

- Familiar with either Siemens or Fanuc Controls
