We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join the team at Forensic CAMHS Team working with Children and Adolescents with mental health difficulties. This role is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to work in a community forensic team. Due to the complexity of the role we would be looking for someone who has worked in a mental health setting and preferably a forensic mental health setting before.

Under regular supervision from a Clinical Psychologist, you will develop skills to support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service, across all sectors of care; supporting consultation to other professionals and agencies, providing psychological assessment and brief psychological interventions.

In addition, you will support the service in collection of routine data and create reports for commissioners and assist in the development of service evaluation within the service. Previous experience of the above is desirable.

You will work with colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team and so should be able to demonstrate the ability to do so. The role will also involve participation in audit, service evaluation and service development projects.

The FCAMHS Team is a small and supportive team of 8 highly experienced Clinicians including Clinical Psychologists, Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurses and Admin. Although the role is a supportive one and at times can involve data collection and audit. The role itself does allow Assistant Psychologist to be trained in several areas of assessment and risk that other roles would be unable to offer.
