To be responsible for coordinating/assisting with the welcome of our international recruits into the UK; you will ensure that they are supported through their journey to their site base and support the International Recruitment Team Leader and key stakeholders in assisting with a smooth arrival process, planning transport, accommodation, supporting orientation to the UK and our Trust.

We provide mental health, learning disability and specialist services, serving 1.8 million people across the county.

Provide pastoral support to newly recruited international staff, including:

- Helping with relocation arrangements;
- Providing information about the local area;
- Linking with networking groups, in partnership with our equality & diversity team;
- Offering emotional support;
- Organising transportation for the safe arrival of international recruits;
- Arrangement of appropriate short-term accommodation for internationally recruited staff;
- Meeting and/or arranging the meeting of new cohorts of international recruits inclusive of some long days and weekends;
- Coordinating and procuring necessary provisions required by international arrivals, identifying any specific requirements in alignment with the trust’s welcome package offered;
- Assisting new international recruits with onboarding and orientation within the trust;
- Booking of transportation to and from relevant training and examinations;
- To be present when the new recruits arrive in the Trust.
- Under the supervision of the International Recruitment Team Leader, coordinate the development, update and regular review of the Trust welcome packs, web page and resources. Ensuring all welcome packs and information are in new starters’ accommodation on arrival.
- Check in with International Recruits within agreed specified periods including evenings and weekends and co-ordinate access to support identified.
- Recruit to and co-ordinate a network of international recruitment buddies to be matched with new recruits, provide information and guidance to the buddies on the requirement to support setting up bank accounts, registering at a GP surgery and local orientation including places of worship, shops and leisure, etc. The activities to be supported will be outlined in more details once buddies are recruited.
- Arrange virtual and face to face social gatherings to support welcome the recruits to the Trust; ensure the development of friendships amongst international recruits, buddies and other staff who wish to participate.
- Work with the Communications Team to raise awareness internally about our international recruits including welcome communications, celebratory communications as cohorts complete their OSCEs and become registered nurses in the UK and other reasons to celebrate or raise awareness.
