To provide direct support to other members of staff, to be responsible for the security and smooth operation of buildings and surrounding grounds whilst on duty. To act as an ambassador for the East Neuk Centre Trust.

The post holder will be expected to be able to work as part of a team and also independently and use their initiative to respond to problems.

The range of duties undertaken is likely to include the following:

- Undertake prescribed cleaning procedures as directed by the Head Hall Keeper in all buildings of the complex.
- Ensuring that buildings are opened at prescribed times, and that they are secure at the end of the working day. Co-operating with all appropriate personnel in maintaining the security of the premise/s
- Undertaking regular testing of the fire alarms system and reporting accordingly. Also working closely with staff responsible for the fire drill procedures in office hours and during evening /weekend/holiday opening hours.
- Ensuring that halls/sports halls / public areas/ meeting rooms are set-up/ cleared as required for a range of uses, including the removal and storage of chairs and table, erecting and dismantling stages, platforms etc. where possible. All of this in accordance with health and safety and manual handling procedures.
- Transporting materials and equipment throughout the building, ensuring that these are stored appropriately. Staff should be trained and equipped to undertake these duties in accordance with health and safety legislation.
- Provide a high level of customer care.

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
