Personnel Selection is seeking a experienced CNC Programmer, Operator Setter for one of our engineering clients based in Andover Hampshire. This role is a day shift only positions working Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm. Slightly earlier finish on Fridays.

**SKILLS NEEDED
- Engineering machinist apprenticeship or qualified to a similar level in machine shop practices.
- Minimum of 5 years of machining or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in the use of the CNC machining equipment including Okuma machining centre, Haas CNC mill andXYZ mill.
- GibbsCam programming tool associated Okuma turning/milling centre
- OneCNC programming tool associated with haas CNC mill.
- Programming knowledge and experience using “G” code.
- Proficient in the use of manual lathe.
- Proficient in the use of pillar drill.
- Proficient in the use of a bench grinder and surface grinder.
- Experience of using CMM and other measurement equipment to verify manufactured components.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manufacture mechanical components for use within company products in an agreed timeframe to the required quality level using the equipment with the CNC / Machine shop.
- Program CNC Okuma 5 axis machining centre using Gibbscam cam software.
- Program Haas CNC mill using OneCNC cam software.
- As part of the programming of the equipment modify “G” code to ensure the correct operation of the CNC equipment.
- Program XYZ mill.
- Operate CNC Okuma 5 axis machining centre.
- Operate Haas CNC mill.
- Operate XYZ mills.
- Order from suppliers raw material to allow the manufacture of the requested components.
- If required, support the tool room to manufacture components for the repair and maintenance of production equipment
- If required, support the tool room in the manufacturing of components for the development of new production equipment including jigs and fixtures.
- If required, support the R&D department in the manufacturing of components for the equipment under development within the R&D department.
- Maintain the equipment that is being used within the CNC / Machine shop to ensure that it is fit for purpose when required.This will require interaction with suppliers to allow machine servicing and breakdown repairs to be carried out.
- Liaise with the design team to provide feedback on components to aid machinability and improve cycle time.
- Carry out any reasonably requested jobs as asked for by the manager within the scope of their ability.
