Having been rated as Good Paediatric services across all domains by the CQC we are now seeking a Consultant in Community Child Health to consolidate this position and support our journey to becoming Outstanding for Paediatric services (this is uniquely favourable situation to be in for our District General Hospital in the East Midlands).

The Community Paediatric Service in Lincolnshire is part of a combined Children’s Service provided by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The Trust is responsible for the provision of a comprehensive range of services to the local population of 680,000. The successful applicant must be willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations or outreach District General Hospital clinics.

Childhood Disabilities

Safeguarding Children

Learning disabilities

Behavioural problems/ADHD

Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Adoption medicals, Medical advisor to Adoption panel, SUDIC.

Children are referred by General Practitioners, Education, and Social Care. Doctors work within defined geographical areas and are encouraged to have specific areas of interest. Children are seen in a variety of settings using a mixture of face to face, video and telephone consultations in hospital clinics, schools and community clinics.

You will be expected to have Full GMC registration with a License to Practice in the UK

You should either be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT or via CESR.

Pilgrim Hospital is situated beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the new medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service

Louth Hospital is set on the edge of the Wolds and serves the communities of Louth and the local area. It provides day case surgery, outpatients, and x-ray and endoscopy services
