Cpl is working in partnership with an award-winning mechanical engineering contractor in Newry to appoint an experienced HR Advsior to join their successful team in Newry.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the MD the HR Advisor will have a standalone role where you will have primary responsibility for the day to day management of the HR function, with particular focus on guiding and advising the leaders on HR matters, and executing people focused policies, programmes and processes.

**Principle Responsibilities**:
HR
- First point of contact for all HR related queries
- Support and coach line managers on Employee Relations cases such as short and long-term absence, performance management, grievances, investigations, disciplinaries, and probationary reviews
- Update and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Produce and process documentation in relation to employee matters
- Support with all internal communications to employees
- Execute all engagement well-being and retention programmes and initiatives
- Support the annual pay and performance management reviews and objective setting process, working closely with line managers
- Oversee and maintain employee records using our HR software system - BreatheHR

Talent Acquisition
- Responsible for the full end-to-end talent acquisition process
- Produce offer letters, employment contracts as well as co-ordinating the onboarding of new starters
- Support, advise and coach our internal customers ensuring consistency in recruitment that adheres to best practice and is legally compliant.

Payroll
- Manage monthly and weekly payroll administration, producing payroll adjustment reports and the gathering of relevant data from various managers and business heads for both payroll and pension processes
- Advise and calculate company and statutory maternity, paternity, shared parental leave, annual leave, overtime and sickness entitlements

Additional Duties
- Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation, interpret and provide guidance on any changes or updates
- Support line managers to help them comply with HR processes, data protection and GDPR requirements and provide guidance to managers so that they are aware of their obligations

**What you'll need to suceed**
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive company information in a discreet and professional manner
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines on time is essential
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly whilst being pro-active and self-motivated
- Resilience and ability to remain objective and neutral in challenging situations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office computer packages

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
