We have an exciting opportunity for a **Hepatitis C Specialist Intervention Worker**. You will actively promote and undertake the delivery of effective interventions for hepatitis C across the site using a whole system approach.

There is an expectation that the post-holder will provide a degree of flexibility and contribute to the wider strategic aims and on-going development of Hepatitis C treatment pathways.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

**Hours**: 37.5hrs per week

**Salary**: £26,393.77 - £30,316.74 dependent on experience

**Responsibilities**:

**About the role**:

- To work closely with the Regional Hepatitis C Coordinator and Hepatitits C Data Analyst.
- To reduce drug related harm to the individual and wider community.
- To actively seek out service users at risk of contracting BBV’s and offer harm reduction advice alongside screening.
- To work closely with the Hepatology nurses deliverying treatment on site.
- To adopt a harm reduction approach with leads in service to promote prevention, early intervention, testing and treatment.

**About you**:

- To hold a suitable qualification or life experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the risks that can lead to increased risk of BBV infection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a IT competency. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information.
- Excellent time management skills, and an ability to work on own initiative, prioritising accordingly.
