Trainee Teaching Assistant

£10.77 - £12 per hour**

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Trainee Teaching Assistant in the Carmarthenshire area.

**What does a Trainee Teaching Assistant do?**
- Support students with Additional Learning Needs
- Assist in management of challenging behaviours
- Support students learning and understanding of tasks
- Reading out work to students

The successful applicant will be placed within small classes/intervention groups or on a 1-1 basis with children (aged 3-11) who have a range of additional learning needs such as Autism & ADHD.

Our partnership schools have outlined that the person they are looking for does not need direct experience working as a Teaching Assistant before or even with children. Applicants with a background in care or support work, sports coaches who have workedwith children previously are examples of some careers that carry many transferable skills over to this role and highly desirable.

**What is required to be a Trainee Teaching Assistant?**
- No formal educational qualifications are required
- 5 GCSEs minimum desired
- Enhanced DBS available on the update service
