**JOB REF: 1655: CASUAL DISTANCE LEARNING ASSESSOR**

Boston College is looking to recruit a Distance Learning Assessor for its growing provision. We are looking for motivated and supportive individuals to work within our rapidly growing curriculum. We need roles for each of the different sectors within our offer. These include Environmental Sustainability, Health and Social Care, Early Years, Digital Skills, Business Administration, Team Leading, Counselling, Equality & Diversity, Wellbeing and many others. **Requirements for Distance Learning Assessors**
- Either hold or currently working towards an Assessors qualification
- Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- Be qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in the sector(s) you wish to assess.
- Possess excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise workloads and be able to work independently.
- Have excellent communication skills which are essential to work with learners and colleagues across College, along with the ability to be able to build good working relationships.
- Previous experience in Distance Learning assessment is preferable, but not essential.

**Responsibilities for Distance Learning Assessors**
- Assessing on the college’s Distance Learning platforms.
- Supporting learners to achieve Level 2 courses in the different pathways.
- You will be assisted by the Distance Learning Administration Team, who will help in monitoring those enrolled.
- As a Distance Learning Assessor, you will be able to work entirely remotely, but can come onto the campus if you wish.

- Pay for this role is based on a ‘piece rate’ system, with Assessors given a fixed rate per learner assignments passed.
