**Role Details**

This role is extremely varied and includes lifting boxes of meat (weighing c. 25kg), loading vehicles and picking, packaging and glazing meat products.

This position is based within a clean production environment that is maintained at a temperature below 4 degrees and includes fridges, preparation rooms freezers and a dispatch area.

**Hours**:The shift pattern is Sunday to Thursday and the hours are Sunday 08.00 - 16.30, and Monday to Thursday 11.00 - 19.30.

**Some responsibilities of the role include**:

- Weigh cuts of meat and ensure they are appropriately labelled
- Package meat using machinery e.g, vat packer, metal detector, labelling machine
- Ensure that the Butchery operation is kept clean and tidy and that standards are maintained
- Walk long distances to support all areas of the operation
- Carry boxes weighing 20-25kg each
- Maintain best before dates and reject products falling below required standards
- Carefully load products into large trays safely without damage to the products

Physically fit and able to walk long distances and carry weights of 20-25kg.

**Salary**: £26,863.20 per month
