We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Officer to join our established team in Falkirk where you will maintain business continuity at Webhelp premises by ensuring all properties, equipment and services are maintained to the highest standards and provide quality facilities and support services for all end-users.

We want someone who thrives on efficiency, finding smarter ways to get the job done in the most productive manner. You should be eager and proactive in lending a hand where applicable, have a keen eye for detail and work well under pressure.

What you’ll be doing
- Working with contractors carrying out services and monitoring their performance in order to ensure they comply with all safety at work requirements
- Maintaining records of all aspects of the department’s compliance with health and safety legislation, contractors, suppliers, properties, and assets as well as safety, security, cleaning, vending services and emergency systems including maintenance, service, repair and testing in the Facilities Management System
- Reporting all accidents and providing responses and resolutions to Facilities requests within agreed service levels
- Maintaining and ensuring all risk assessments, method statements and work permit procedures are adhered to for all activities
- Ensuring essential services are continually maintained by carrying out the full range of practical and manual handling aspects
- Undertaking training as required to ensure competence for all health and safety compliance requirements
- Controlling costs and maintaining budget management procedures
- Liaising with management, end-user departments and Project Managers to plan layout changes or alterations to campaign requirements
- Developing relationships with end-user departments and other support departments
- Taking responsibility and accountability for information security in line with the company’s security policy
- Ensuring appropriate personal protective equipment is used by the Facilities Team and contractors
- Ensuring all chemicals and hazardous substances are controlled and used according to legal requirements and local legislation

What you’ll need
- Trades background (Preferable)
- Full UK driving licence (Essential)
- Practical building or plant maintenance experience
- Previous experience and training in safe manual handling
- Excellent communication, listening customer service, organisational, relationship building and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- PC literate, with a working knowledge of industry standard packages (e.g. Microsoft Word & Excel)
- Results focused, committed to providing outstanding customer service with ability to multitask
- Ability to remain calm and retain control when faced with difficulty
