Our client is looking for an administrator to join a team based in Sidcup, Kent

**Purpose**

To provide proactive administrative support, insights and data that will assist all areas of performance of Referencing and Vetting (R&V) for the UK’s largest police force. By providing this service R&V Senior Leadership Team (SLT) can focus on operationaldelivery.

**Key Responsible include**:

- Recruitment: To provide proactive administrative support for the recruitment process from end to end ensuring that key milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- Communication and Engagement: Management of communication channels within R&V. Ensuring that communications are effectively delivered to each member of the R&V team and setting up processes to test the effectiveness of these communications.
- Training and Development: To provide proactive administrative support for the training and development from end to end ensuring that key milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- Risk Management: Liaising with risk management owners and the R&V SLT to ensure that updates are obtained on known risks and that the risk register is accurate and that suitable mitigation has been provided. All updates will need to be fed through to theOperational Support Directors Private Office.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Communication and Motivational Skills: Have strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective at listening, influencing and negotiating. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Attention to Detail: Having excellent attention to detail. The role holder will be expected to assess highly detailed data and be able to identify keys points of relevant information.
- Have the ability to follow complex processes as set out in the standard work for the function.
- Prioritisation: An ability to adjust to shifting demand priorities.
- Organisation: Being extremely organised and being able to complete tasks to tight deadlines.
- Minute Taking: Being able to take minutes at SLT meetings.
- Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy, tact and discretion in the managing of sensitive and confidential information
- Problem Solving: Using visual management techniques to support team problem solving by contributing to daily reviews of team performance in collaboration with other team members and the team line manager.
- IT: Computer Literacy skills and skills using the Microsoft Office Suite especially Word, Outlook and Excel.

This is a temporary role for an initial 6 months with potential for it to be extended beyond, paying an initial £10.85 per hour PAYE moving to £15.13 per hour PAYE after 12 weeks.

The Foundation provides funding for a number of charities, channelled via the Big Give, the online donation platform that allows donors to discover and donate to projects of interest.
