Estimator - Groundworks

**Estimator-**for our client who are a groundworks and Civil Engineering based in South Yorkshire. The Estimator will be working on predominantly Groundworks projects ranging anywhere from £5k - £3 Million The Estimator willbe opining a family run business working on groundworks, foundations but also branch out into all elements of construction including main contracting for shed buildings and warehousing, groundworks packages, retaining walls etc.

The Estimator will be joining the commercial team on Groundworks/ and Civils experience in civils/groundworks preferred but not essential, pricing and estimating experience also preferred but not essential but must have experience in one or the other asa minimum. Initially there will be a training period to start, shadowing a current estimator and producing take offs and bills of quantities for checking until confident to be given projects.

**EstimatorPosition Overview**
- Organizing initial meetings for new tenders
- Meeting the client to discuss the works on site
- Analysing site constraints and how that will affect costs
- Liaising with designers and clients for drawing queries
- Take off from drawings and produce bills of quantities
- Procure multiple prices from suppliers
- Order and contract discussions
- Valuations as well as produce construction programme
- Liaising with contract director on cost/time reviews
- Attend Site meetings

**EstimatorPosition Requirements**
- Good understanding of Estimating
- Extensive Groundworks and Civil Engineering experience
- Proactive and self disciplined
- Looking for a long term role
- Driving licence
- Local to Rotherham

- Salary; £30k - £40k
- Car allowance or vehicle provided
