Pride in London is embracing a renewed sense of purpose that resonates with everyone. We stand as a beacon to highlight ongoing challenges within the LGBTQ+ community, even amidst progress. Our roots intertwine the protest origins of Pride with the spirit of celebration.. Our guiding values - **Visibility**, **Unity**, and **Equality** - drive every step we take.

Our incredible team is a blend of passionate staff and volunteers who champion diversity, inclusivity, and understanding. We hail from diverse walks of life, forming a vibrant community of change-makers. Our ultimate goal? To amplify awareness of LGBTQ+ matters and advocate for the rights that ensure equal lives for all.

With a diverse and dedicated year-round team of around 150 volunteers, we orchestrate Pride in London, the incredible event that unites us all. Your unique voice can contribute to the symphony

**Your role**:
Mental health and wellbeing are crucial for everyone, but especially for marginalised communities like the LGBTQ+ community. PRIDE in London recognises that our volunteers, who generously give their time on top of full-time jobs and other commitments, can experience unique stressors and challenges. This Wellbeing Officer role is vital to provide proactive support, resources and a compassionate ear to nurture our volunteers' health and resilience. The Wellbeing Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing a holistic wellbeing program.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Proactively checking in with volunteers to assess their wellbeing needs
- Providing emotional support and a listening ear when volunteers are stressed
- Conducting workshops on stress management, self-care, mindfulness and other wellbeing topics
- Researching and sharing LGBTQ+ specific mental health resources
- Planning relaxing and fun activities to boost volunteer morale and connection
- Advocating for policies and practices that nurture volunteers' wellbeing
- Tracking volunteer sentiment and wellbeing needs to identify gaps and areas for improvement

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Strong emotional intelligence and active listening abilities
- Knowledge of mental health challenges specific to LGBTQ+ community
- Experience designing and facilitating wellbeing workshops and activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for supporting others' personal growth and resilience
- Ability to respond compassionately to those in distress
- Organised and able to manage independent projects
- Mental Health First Aider qualification or willing to work towards a qualification.

**Role Details**:
This is a volunteer Role, reporting into the Head of People
