Court House Retirement Home, Cheddar, BS27 3RA £10 per hour weekdays /£10.60per hour, weekends.

Various hours available including alternate weekends.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen assistants to join the team in our Award winning beautiful family run Retirement Home.

About us: We look after 26 residents in beautifully decorated, private, en suite bedrooms, with a range of well-appointed lounges, dining rooms and lovely gardens.

About the role: you will: 8am-2pm and 2-7.30pm shifts
- some of the duties are - Prepare breakfast for the residents - Collect Breakfast and wash up used trays, Prepare mid morning drinks, Prepare trays /dining room for lunch, wash/clean up after lunch, prepare for afternoon tea, supper ,any other duties required

Undertake cleaning as required, complete any administration as requested, including cleaning schedules etc
- ensure the kitchen is maintained to a high standard in a clean and organised manner ensuring all food safety and health & safety procedures are followed;
- undertake all required training and ensure this is fully implemented in line with all Company policies and procedures
- be fully involved in welcoming and training new staff;
- undertake any additional tasks as directed by the managers or cook.

About you -. You will be able to demonstrate competency in the skills required to handle the role as described. You will also have a genuine desire to develop or progress your career in this field and be professional in both approach and appearance. You must have good communication skills with an eye for detail and be capable of working under your own initiative when necessary.

You may be interacting with the residents so a good ,friendly, courteous nature is essential.

A friendly, respectful and courteous attitude to visitors and your fellow colleagues is also required.

To ensure our staff can provide the highest possible standards of care, we provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training and development. Relevant courses, such as moving and handling, infection control, fire training and food hygiene, ensure all our employees continually update their skills and knowledge.
