Sawyer / Block Cutter

Forest of Dean Stone Firms, part of Lovell Stone Group, quarries and processes Forest Pennant Sandstone for projects all over the UK. We are looking to recruit a Sawyer /Block cutter on a full-time, permanent contract.

The role, Sawyer / Block cutter will be working on the paving line, in the following shift pattern; 6am to 6pm & 6pm to 6am, Monday to Thursday. Currently, the team is working 48 hours per week (40 hours standard and 8 hours time and half)

No experience is necessary although previous knowledge of working with natural stone would be beneficial. Full training and PPE will be provided.

Starting rate will be £10.70* per hour.
