25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, preferably 10:00 - 15:00, but the school can be flexible if required.

**Salary**: £26,634 - £27,855 SC4 Point 7 - 11

**Salary Pro rata: £17,492.57 - £18,577.73 25 hours per week, term time + 2 weeks**

An exciting opportunity to develop your HR career within the education sector and provide comprehensive HR support to over 150 staff.

You will have strong administration skills and be able to produce accurate work, deal with HR administration and employee relations issues, when required. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and are able to work with tact and discretion within a human resources environment.

In this role you will need to be able to work to deadlines and have excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Relevant experience and/or qualifications
- Previous administrative experience in a busy office environment
- Good working knowledge of HR is desirable, however training will be provided
- An understanding of UK Data Protection legislation is desirable

**Job Purpose**

To support the Director of Finance and Personnel in the areas of Human Resource, ensuring safer recruitment and compliance.

**Human Resource**

Administration of the schools HR processes including recruitment and pre-employment checks in line with safer recruitment.

Administration of recruitment advertising, ensuring exposure across media platforms.

Complete recruitment paperwork including contracts and offer letters for approval by the Headteacher.

Upkeep of personnel folders and related paperwork, in line with the Single Central Register requirements.

Management of Single Central Register data on SIMS.

Liaise with Enfield (VIDEPAY) for staff contracts.

Upkeep of personnel files in SIMS for the Single Central Record.

Liaise with SLT and arrange the Induction for new staff and exit interviews for leavers.

Staff absence logging and reporting.

Work with the Occupational Health provider to facilitate screening programmes for staff.

Administration of holiday entitlement records.

Liaise with recruitment agencies to ensure the smooth transition from agency worker to employee.

Liaise with the Director of Finance and Personnel to ensure that any recruitment requests have budgetary approval prior to commencing any recruitment activity.

Basic advice on the policies and procedures to staff and managers.

Manage issuing of annual salary statements and data collection forms to all staff annually.

To produce the Workforce Census in SIMS with the Director of Finance and upload to DFE website.

To check timesheet claims for accuracy and compliance with polices and regulations. Calculate any additional payments/allowances as appropriate. Ensure payroll instructions are processed within given deadlines.

Designs and produces regular statistical reports on HR information for the Staffing Committee and managers e.g. Starters, leavers, turnover, recruitment campaigns, sickness absence, other absences, ethnic monitoring etc.

Ensure accurate and timely inputting of data onto the SIMS system, including new starters, leavers, amenders, maternity, paternity, absence, and annual leave, etc.

Provide and promote HR service excellence and foster effective teamwork and business relationships.

To communicate sensitively with a wide range of people, including colleagues, students (who may communicate through challenging behaviour), external contacts and the public.

To maintain information in a confidential manner, following data protection regulations and ensuring the HR operations, personnel files and recruitment records are GDPR compliant.

**Person Specification**

**Skills Required**:
GCSE English and Mathematics at C+

Qualification in or working towards a recognised HR qualification or related equivalent.

Current or previous experience in HR desirable but training will be provided.

An understanding of GDPR is desirable, however training will be provided.

Exceptional planning and organisational skills, including managing deadlines.

Excellent communication skills to use with a wide range of communities.

An ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and show professional resilience.

Highly developed interpersonal skills.

Personal impact, commitment, honesty, and confidentiality.
