**Salary**: Grade 7 - Starting Salary - £25,409 per annum.

**Location**: Combination of office working and home working. Hastings, East Sussex.

**Contract type**: Maternity Cover

**Working pattern**: 37 hours per week.

We have an exciting opportunity within Hastings Borough Council for a Refugee Resettlement Officer to join the team, providing maternity cover.

The Refugee Resettlement Officer will provide casework support to families already living in Hastings, and those due to move. The successful applicant will be expected to provide advice and support to vulnerable individuals and families looking to resettle to Hastings, with a focus on housing, education, health care, benefits, integration and employment.

Key Duties include:

- Assessing vulnerable people’s needs and creating a bespoke Action Plan.
- Assisting families with accessing key services necessary for resettlement.
- Preparing tenancies, arranging furnishing and compliance requirements for properties, and supporting the family to maintain their tenancy.
- Arranging support with local health care providers, schools, college, state benefits and bank accounts.
- Maintain accurate case notes in line with the Action Plan for each family/individual.
